Holy Rosary Society
The Holy Rosary Society's main mission is to spread devotion to Mary through the recitation of the Rosary and works of charity.
The first Sunday of each month, we celebrate at the 8:30 AM Mass as her daughters. We also lead the Rosary after the 8 AM daily Masses Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in May and October. We bake and work the kitchen for our Tuesday and Saturday evening Bingo players. We contribute annually to the liturgical needs of the Church, in an amount that is agreed upon at a general meeting of our members. Our monthly meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month (except January, July & August) in the Ministry Center. We begin every meeting with the recitation of the Rosary. We share a meal and delicious baked good, prepared by our members. Meetings usually last about an hour. Membership is open to all Catholic women. New members are welcomed at a regular meeting, where they receive the Holy Rosary Society medal. We currently have about 70 active members and approximately 10 lifetime members (those in care facilities). Once a woman becomes a Rosary Member, she remains so through life and death. Fellow Rosary Members will attend the wake of a member and pray a decade of the Rosary. Holy Rosary Society: President - Donna Walker |
