Funeral ServersAdult parishioners who are available on short notice, to give of their time serving at funerals
Contact - Parish Office, 683-6522 Altar ServersOpen to men and women of the Parish, and youth who have received their First Holy Communion. The purpose of this group is to prepare the altar and other needed accessories prior to Mass and assist the priest during the Liturgy. Contact - Parish Office, 683-6522
Lectors (Ministers of the Word)Lectors proclaim the readings and prayers of the faithful at Mass. Individuals with natural gifts such as a strong, clear voice are encouraged to volunteer. Through study and prayer, the Lector develops an understanding of the Word of God and its importance in our celebration of faith. Required to be a member of the Parish in good standing. SacristansSacristans are trained parishioners who assist with preparation for liturgy and ensure the liturgical vessels and linens are ready for Mass.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy CommunionExtraordinary Ministers assist at Mass in distributing Holy Communion on Saturdays, Sundays, holy days, and whenever the need arises. Some Ministers of Holy Communion also visit the homes of the sick, shut-ins, the elderly and disabled on the first Friday of each month and bring the Eucharist to fellow parishioners. A short course is given to prepare ministers for distribution of the sacrament. Training sessions are sponsored periodically by the Diocese and Our Lady of Pompeii. Required to be a member of the Parish in good standing.
Contact - Parish Office, 683-6522 Ministers of HospitalityGreeters: Greeters welcome parishioners and visitors to Our Lady of Pompeii. This is a ministry in which the whole family can participate together.
UshersUshers provide assistance, help seat parishioners, take up collections, distribute the bulletin and basically oversee the congregation’s needs during the liturgical services. This group is open to any member of the Parish age 18+. Shirts provided free of charge.

Liturgy CommitteeThe Sacred Liturgy is both the source and summit of all parish life and activity. This committee oversees liturgical services and ministries, and seeks to ensure that all parish prayer and worship is reverent, meaningful and effective.
