As a Catholic community, we believe that preparation for and celebration of the Sacraments involves our Parish community as well as our families, since at Baptism, we become members of the Body of Christ. Therefore, family members and parishioners are involved in the preparation process for the Sacraments as well as in the living out of Christian life.
Christ instituted the sacraments of the new law. There are seven: Baptism, Confession, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation, Holy Matrimony, Holy Orders, Anointing of Sick. The seven sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase healing and mission to the Christian's life of faith. There is thus a certain resemblance between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life.
